According to a despatch received from

the Governor of Hongkong by the Secretary of State

for the Colonies, further remittances of £7,000 and

£2,000 have been placed to the credit of the Prince

of Wales' Fund. The total amount contributed by

the community of llongkong towards this object has now

reached £26,000, apart from the sum of $100,000

(£8,437. 10.0) voted by the Legislative Council of

the Colony.
